I have this great idea…..visit the ER 5 times, get the 6th visit free….or something to that nature. Doubt it would ever happen, but if it did – I’d be up for a free visit next time. They could limit it to so many visits during a year or something – of course I am kidding, but you get where I am going with this.

So….my poor husband was admitted to the hospital on the 12th with pancreatitus, pneumonia and gallstones. He was throwing up for about 12 hours (non stop) and unfortunately I was gone for about 8 of those so I wasn’t able to take him to the ER when he should have rightfully been there. The poor guy was in so much pain and had already been sick the entire week before, so I felt horrible that I hadn’t taken him to the hospital sooner. Long story short, he was in the hospital for almost a week, and one day longer because I also got very sick myself. We got well, or almost so and then….

It happened again. Yep, damn hip dislocated! This time I was just bending down and it dislocated. So back to the hospital we drug ourselves. It was pretty traumatic this time – when they came into do the conscious sedation to try to put it in place in the ER, there were 4 huge men, the doctor and the nurse. I was a bit taken back and wasn’t sure what they were planning on doing to me. I woke up from the sedation screaming and crying – obviously it didn’t work. So I got to go to surgery again and it went into place. I was almost hoping it didn’t so they would call a surgeon into to fix the thing, but that probably wouldn’t have been a good move. I am pretty sure that I need to look pretty seriously into the next surgeon that I allow to cut on me….obviously the last one had many traits to be desired. <>
